Celebrating LGBT+ History & Culture – This Month at The Dragon Café

This Monday from 12 – 8.30 pm at The Dragon Café – Spoken Word, Short Film & Sylvester.
We continue Celebrating LGBT+ History & Culture with a wonderful line-up of talks, performance and film. We welcome Pascal Brannan with a talk on disco icon The (Mighty Real) Sylvester at 6.30 pm before an evening of Spoken Word & Short Film from 7.15 pm. Always fantastic to connect with our Hackney cousins Core Arts and present two of their short films on LGBT+ themes, then a real treat with spoken word and comedy performances.

Jamie Cottle is a non-binary artist, director, actor and poet. Their poetry seeks to reclaim the scientific lexicon (typically used as an oppressive tool) to liberate themselves and others from trans-medicalism and form a new post-somatic connection with the body. Amelia Stubberfield is a theatre maker, actor, comedian and writer, listed as “one to watch” by the Funny Women awards. Ameilia is a member of Soho Theatre’s Comedy Lab Plus and regularly gigs on the comedy circuit.
