This Month at The Dragon Café – Me, My Brain and I: How do I relate to Brain Sciences?

Me My Brain and I this Monday 12 – 8.30 pm at The Dragon Café. A day full of creative & wellbeing groups, great food and imagination. All welcome!

This January, we will start the New Year by celebrating every part of ourselves, and trying to further understand what goes on in our wonderful brains! For the first half of the month, neuroscientists will tell us about their research on brain plasticity, neurotechnologies, creativity and e-health. During the second half of the month, artists will share their journeys to manage their mental health and develop resilience in the midst of adversity. Creative workshops and wellbeing activities including mask making, a scent event, gong bath and yoga will be part of a stimulating month.

For our first evening event, The role of Neuroscience in Creativity and Technology, we welcome researchers in brain sciences from Imperial College London to talk us through their exciting research projects that explore brain activity, mental health and rehabilitation.

In the afternoon at 2 pm we welcome John Foley for the first of two workshops this month. This week is his Mask Workshop and a chance to explore what we conceal and reveal about ourselves in our every day lives, but also express our aspirations and hopes for what we can become.
