This Month at The Dragon Café – It Started with a Gong

Join us this December for some Seasonal Treats with live music and dance performances, craft workshops, board game fun and this Monday at 7 pm a soothing start with a Gong and Gamelan Bath. All you do is lie (or sit) back, relax and enjoy the healing sounds of a magnificent 38” bronze tam-tam played alongside Himalayan singing bowls and other soothing percussion.

We also invite you to share your views on design in mental health environments at 2 pm with Safehinge who specialise in bedroom doors. The aim is to make sure the voice of experience is included in the development of new products including vision panels and door handles.

This year for the first time since we opened, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day fall on a Monday. It would be extremely difficult for many staff, volunteers, activity leaders and Patrons to make it in on these days due to transport issues and personal commitments, and so The Dragon Café will be closed. This means that Monday 18th December will be the last Café of the year and then we shall return on Monday 8th January 2018. We wish everyone a peaceful time and will be bringing together details of other places of community support open during this period.
