This Month at The Dragon Café – A Festival of Freud
A chance to unlock your unconscious and expand your mind!
We are delighted to continue a month of events in collaboration with the Freud Museum to explore psychoanalytic ideas. Freud’s theories are often seen as outmoded and irrelevant these days, yet also quite intriguing. In these imaginative workshops and talks you will get a chance to learn what they really mean and how they connect to creativity and everyday life.
This Monday our Freudian focus is drawn to relationships with nature and the experience of military service. At 2.15 pm you can join Sarah Johnson for a a creative sewing activity to transform fears of nature to Monster Love. For our evening event at 7 pm we welcome John Gale to explore how the experience of military service can affect our mental health, and see if psychoanalysis is a useful tool for understanding The Conflicts Within.
We will also have International Men’s Day (19th November) and Movember in mind with invitations to hear from two local organisations. At 2 pm meet Peckham based MenDers Club and later at 4 pm we welcome Men’s Health Forum.
