This Month at The Dragon Café – Hysteria – Contested, Popularised, Diagnosed.

Fake News and the NHS – a modern hysteria? – this Monday 12 – 8.30 pm at The Dragon Café.
This Monday in our series of RE:CREATE Psychiatry discussions Hysteria – Contested, Popularised, Diagnosed the focus will be on how the current climate of politicised media manipulation and ‘alternative facts’ affects us. What impact does the political climate have on personal wellbeing and collective mental health? And how does this affect our relationship with society and our healthcare service?

Following a film preview of Brexit means Brexit! a new contemporary dance piece commissioned by PS/Y, you are invited to join an openhearted discussion with guest speakers Victoria Tischler, Professor of Arts and Health, Head of the Dementia Care Centre, University of West London, and Lauren Gavaghan, psychiatrist, activist, and RE:CREATE Psychiatry founding member. All mental health professionals and those with lived experience welcome.

Please note that Football-Works will be at a slightly later time than usual this week of 3 pm. All welcome for a friendly kick around. Bring trainers and some water.
